Hey everyone, and thank you to all my new subscribers, I'm so happy you signed up.
I am officially referring to this as my first blog post as the last one was really an introduction & welcome message.
It's all about brows today. I have been a Brow Artist for over 10 years and since I completed my training with High Definition Brows I've generally used their products.
However I've been trialling different products outside of the HD brand and today I'm sharing my current favourite 'affordable/high street' makeup routine to create a natural, textured brow finish.
I mentioned these three items on my IG recently but wanted to take the opportunity to provide a more in-depth review of these products, their benefits, where to get them and how to use them.
I've also filmed a YouTube video with a detailed step by step tutorial, where I'm using each of the products I've listed today, the link is below if you like to see the products in action.
I'd love to have you come and join my brand new YouTube channel.
Step 1 - E.L.F Brow Lift
£6
Available at Boots, Superdrug, E.L.F Website and lots of other online retailers
This is the first a clear gel which had a light hold, creating fluffy, textured brows.
I really like it as it's not sticky and doesn't dry hard so you don't feel it in your brows.
It's only £6 and lasts ages as a little goes a long way.
I apply the gel by placing a small amount on the back of my hand and then brush upwards through my brows with a clean mascara wand. Lifting the hair more at the front and then sweeping through the centre and tail of the brow for a natural finish.
Step 2 - Kiko Precision Eyebrow Pencil
£10.49
Available at Kiko.com
This is a makeup brand I discovered only a couple of years ago and I've been impressed by everything I've tried but this is most definitely my favourite item from Kiko.
I love it because the shade is a true ash blonde tone. Finding a brow pencil that's light but not warm toned is not easy and this is spot on.
It comes with a sharpener so you can keep the tip crisp and precise making it perfect to fill, create etch lines and hair strokes. If I could only buy one of the three products listed this would be it!
Step 3 - NYX Lift & Snatch Brow Pen
£11.49
Available at Boots, Superdrug, NYX Website and lots of other online retailers
Finally it's a relatively new favourite - the NYX Brow Pen. Honestly this took me a little practice but once you get the hang of it, the finish is fantastic.
It creates beautiful individual hair strokes which can make the brows look fuller and more dense. It's perfect for that fluffy, textured brow finish.
I can even use it to create a crisp etch line at the base of the brow for a slightly more defined finish.
It has 10 colours to choose from and it just seems to last and last.
I've included links to all the products, just click on the images. I hope you found this useful, let me know what your favourite brow products are in the comments as I'm always after recommendations and love to try out new makeup.
Next week we'll be talking about the differences between HD Brows and Brow Lamination.
Thanks so much for reading, sharing and subscribing. Have a lovely week.
