Back in October 2024 I posted the following...This is something that happened quite by accident. During my daily skin care routine I regularly place a few drops of my Vitamin C on my left hand before applying it to my face.
I have now noticed that the pigmentation, aging spots and general look of my left hand is considerably different to my right!
So I then decided to test this a little further and I started applying Vitamin C serum exclusively to my left hand and added a Retinol Serum Cream to my right hand, even though neither product is specifically designed for hands.
Now here we are three months later and what are the results.... see below photos!

My left hand ( the one with the Vitamin C application ) has continued to show reduced pigmentation and a brighter, more even tone although I don't feel that is has changed dramatically.
My right hand (with the Retinol application) has however also seen a reduction in pigmentation spots and those that remain are definitely paler! 🙌🏻
What does this mean? Well to be honest not that much in the scheme of things. It was just an 'experiment' to compare the side effect of two different products, neither of which were designed to reduce pigmentation on the hands.
I will continue to use the Vitamin C on my hand as I place the Serum there before applying it to my face but I will try and alternate my hands. (I am right handed so this might be a little more tricky!!) If I am applying Retinol to my face at any time I will also place this on one of my hands too to benefit from its side affect!
