Money Saving Beauty Swaps

Writer's picture: ToriTori

We all know life is expensive at the moment, so today I've got some simple product swaps to help save you £££'s.

These aren't dupes rather alternative great stand alone products that are more budget friendly than their higher end counterpart.

First up CC Cream swap. I absolutely love the Eborian CC Cream. It's a beautiful, lightweight formula. It's white when it comes out of the tube and then develops and blends with your skin tone through some clever magic I won't pretend to understand. It's lovely I don't have a bad thing to say about it. However it's quite the investment at £41 per tube.

ENTER - Revolution Beauty CC Skin Tint. This is so close in application, coverage and finish I just cannot justify the extra spend any more. It's a lovely lightweight product which adapts in colour and leaves skin looking more even without caking it in makeup.

I did the maths and it's 91p per litre for Eborian and 42p per litre for Revolution.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is one of my favourite all time first cleansers (I double cleanse).

I love the smell, the texture, the cleansing power and plumping, hydrating effects from using it as a face mask.

However I do not like the price point.

I prioritise my £s for products staying on my face and since this is a cleanser which ultimately ends up on a flannel or down the sink I've got two fantastic alternatives.

Beauty Pie - Hot Oil Cleansing Balm is such a lovely cleansing balm, I really, highly recommend it. Great texture and cleansing ability. No strong or notable smell. Great price but only if you become a member. Which is why I've included a high street alternative...

Inkey List - Oat Cleansing Balm. Great cleanser, nice consistency and amazing value for money. Only downside is towards the end the product gets stuck in the packaging and you have to cut into that thing to use it all up!

The NARS concealer has a wonderful creamy texture and great colour ranges but for me the Rimmel concealer at £8.99 is so amazing I wouldn't spend the extra £'s. I can use it around my eyes and it won't crease in my lines and make me look older. It's my go to concealer.

Lastly I've got a tanning product swap. Both have plumping hyaluronic acid in them and can be added to serums or moisturisers and I don't think I can tell enough of a difference between the two to spend the extra!

Hope I've managed to save you some £'s. Let me know in the comments if there are any products you'd love to swap out for a less expensive option and if I've got any recommendations or suggestions I'll let you know.

Thanks for reading. Until next week, take care.
